Song Of Hrormir

A Two-handed skill book: a rowdy Nord saga about a hero rescuing his fallen friend.

The Song of Hrormir is an old Nord poem. King Vjindak of Evensnow asks the warrior-mage Hrormir to ride against the Dark Kings of Aelfendor, and Hrormir declines – he has very important drinking plans. He changes his mind when he hears that his best friend Darfang has joined the enemy. What follows is a quest of swordplay, a bargain with a hag, and an ending that loops neatly back to the opening joke.

Skill book

Song Of Hrormir is a Two-handed skill book. The first time you read a copy, your Two-handed skill goes up by one point – later copies of the same title don’t give anything extra, so there is no need to carry them around.

Notes

Written in a mock-heroic style with Capitalised Nouns everywhere – it reads best out loud, ideally with a flagon of mead.
