Festus Krex is an elderly Imperial assassin of the Dark Brotherhood. Where his family prefers blades and claws, Festus prefers magic – as he puts it, there’s a spell for every circumstance. He describes himself as the cranky old uncle nobody talks to, and he plays the part well.
Role in the Dark Brotherhood
You’ll find him in the Falkreath Sanctuary, grumbling at the newer members. He gives you “Recipe for Disaster”, the setup for To Kill an Empire. Follow his instructions and the old grump admits he was wrong about you – and hands over the Nightweaver’s Band.
Fate
Festus is the first of the family you find dead when the Penitus Oculatus attack the Sanctuary in Death Incarnate.
