Wreck of The Icerunner

Imperial ship run aground east of Solitude after the lighthouse goes dark, now held by Blackblood Marauders and central to the quest Lights Out!

The Icerunner is an Imperial ship that has run aground on the coast east of Solitude. It only shows up once you’ve put out the fire in the Solitude Lighthouse – which is exactly why it wrecked. By the time you arrive, the Blackblood Marauders have killed the sailors and Imperial troops aboard and taken the ship.

What you’ll find

  • Blackblood Marauders occupying the wreck.
  • Deeja, who is waiting for her cut of the loot.
  • An apprentice-level chest underwater off the south-southwest end of the wreck, with slaughterfish lurking nearby.

Quests

Lights Out!: after dousing the lighthouse fire, report back to Jaree-Ra in Solitude, then meet his sister Deeja at the wreck to collect your share. Surprise: she turns hostile, and you’ll have to kill her. Honour among thieves is overrated.

Tips

Expect a fight with Deeja and her marauders, so arrive ready. Don’t skip the sunken chest – just keep an eye on the fish. The Icerunner never respawns, so it can double as a seaside storage locker.

Good to know

According to his journal, Daynas Valen took the Icerunner while hunting the Gauldur Amulet. He set out from Anvil on the 22nd of Morningstar, 4E 201, a few days after recovering the Ivory Dragon Claw in Bravil. He hired adventurers on board and took them into Folgunthur – it did not end well.
