Wine

Wine is a common bottled drink in Skyrim that restores 15 Stamina but slows Stamina regeneration by 30% for 30 seconds.

Wine is the everyday bottled wine found throughout Skyrim. It is cheap at 7 gold, weighs 0.5, and is one of several alcoholic drinks that trade a short burst of energy for a brief slowdown afterwards.

Effects

  • Restores 15 points of Stamina.
  • Stamina regenerates 30% slower for 30 seconds.

The instant Stamina is handy just before a sprint or a power attack, while the penalty is short enough to be a minor nuisance. For steady recovery, Regenerate Stamina potions work better.

Where to find it

The game data used for this page does not list specific vendors or locations. Wine cannot be cooked or brewed by the player.

Good to know

  • The game contains two Wine records with identical stats: form IDs 0003133C and 000C5348. Both behave the same in play.
  • Surilie Brothers Wine (Hearthfire) has exactly the same effects but is worth 40 gold, so it is the better bottle to sell.
  • Other wines include Alto Wine and Spiced Wine.

Where to find it

  • No fixed source is documented in the available data.
