Stallion’s Potion

Stallion’s Potion is a quest potion from Bothela in Markarth, brewed for Raerek’s private problem. It raises Stamina by 20 points for 300 seconds.

Stallion’s Potion is a one-off brew tied to a small errand in Markarth. Bothela, who runs The Hag’s Cure, has mixed it for Raerek and his “special problem”, and she asks the Dragonborn to make the delivery. Raerek is rather unwilling to talk about what the potion is for, and between its name and its effect, players have drawn their own conclusions.

Effects

Drinking it increases Stamina by 20 points for 300 seconds. It weighs 0.5 and has a base value of 113 gold.

Where to find it

You receive the potion from Bothela during the quest The Steward’s Potion and carry it to Raerek. It is not found anywhere else.

Good to know

  • While the quest is running it is a quest item: you cannot drink, sell, trade or drop it.
  • Once the quest is completed, pickpocketing the potion back from Raerek gives you a normal copy that can be used, sold, traded or dropped.
  • The effect itself is modest. Its real value is the small quest it belongs to.

Where to find it

  • Given by Bothela at The Hag’s Cure in Markarth
  • Delivered to Raerek during The Steward’s Potion
  • Can be pickpocketed back from Raerek after the quest
