Vigor potions do not hand you Stamina in one gulp. Instead they speed up its natural recovery for a generous 300 seconds, anywhere from 50 percent faster up to double the normal rate. Five minutes is long enough to cover a whole dungeon section, so melee fighters who chain power attacks, shield users who block a lot and anyone who sprints across the tundra will feel the difference. For an instant refill, look at Restore Stamina potions instead.

Where to find them
Like most stock potions in Skyrim, these bottles turn up as loot in the world and in the inventories of characters, and vendors that deal in potions can have them for sale. The family is leveled, so the weaker versions dominate early on and the stronger Philters and Elixirs become more common as the Dragonborn gains levels.
Brewing your own
The Alchemy skill lets you make Vigor potions from Bee, Fly Amanita, Mora Tapinella and Scaly Pholiota, the four ingredients with the Regenerate Stamina effect. Pair any two of them at an alchemy lab.
Tips
Even the weakest Vigor potion sells for 311 gold, which makes this family one of the better-paying ones to brew or loot. Drink one before a long fight rather than in the middle of it to get full value from the five-minute duration.
