Cindiri Arano is a Dunmer living in Raven Rock on Solstheim (Dragonborn). She is married to Second Councilor Adril Arano and plays the dutiful councilor’s wife in public, while privately counting the days until she can leave this ash-covered rock behind.
Where to find them
She lives with Adril in Morvayn Manor. Early in the DLC, though, you may find her at the Earth Stone with the other villagers, working on it in a trance under Miraak‘s control.
Quests
In First Edition she asks you to recover a precious folio she had sent to a bookshop in the Imperial City for rebinding. It was on its way back aboard a ship that sank off the coast, so you’ll need to brave the reavers at the Wreck of the Strident Squall. The cherished heirloom? A copy of The Lusty Argonian Maid. She rewards you with a gift and her heartfelt thanks.
After Cleansing the Stones frees the stone, she’s openly relieved to have Miraak out of her head. She’s also one of the locals willing to taste a sample of sujamma in It’s All in the Taste.
Personality & relationships
Cindiri and Adril once lived in Blacklight, and she hasn’t seen it in over fifty years, which feels long even by Dunmer standards. She misses the ashlands of Vvardenfell and worries constantly that Adril’s devotion to Councilor Morvayn will get him killed. She would take the next ship home if he’d agree, but she keeps her doubts to herself and stands by him. She also frets to the councilor about food supplies, since there’s only so much the trader Gjalund can carry.
Good to know
Keep your hands off the silverware: if you steal from Morvayn Manor, she’ll send hired thugs after you.
