Morvayn Manor

Seat of power in Raven Rock and home of Lleril Morvayn, with a Redoran throne room, an arcane enchanter and a locked upstairs bedchamber.

Morvayn Manor is the residence of Lleril Morvayn and the seat of power on Solstheim, added with the Dragonborn expansion. It stands in Raven Rock, between the market square and the Bulwark. Visit to meet the people running the town, use the enchanter, or – if you’re that sort of adventurer – poke around upstairs.

What you’ll find

  • The throne room – Lleril Morvayn’s seat, flanked by two smaller chairs and a House Redoran banner, with two Redoran Guards standing by the entrance.
  • Residents – Lleril Morvayn, plus Adril Arano and Cindiri Arano.
  • An arcane enchanter – in the second room, next to the stairs up.
  • Morvayn Manor Chambers – the bedchamber that fills the second floor. Depending on the time of day, its door is locked and has to be picked.
  • A welcome table – cooked boar meat and three bowls of horker and ash yam stew greet you right inside the door.

Notable items

  • Chitin armor and a chitin helmet in a display case
  • East Empire Company Strongbox (unlocked) in the upstairs chambers
  • The notes House Redoran’s Reply and Adril’s Survey Results on the dresser

Tips

If you want to see what’s upstairs without picking a lock, try visiting at a time of day when the bedchamber door is open – it isn’t locked around the clock. The arcane enchanter downstairs is free to use and conveniently close to the town’s merchants, which makes the manor a handy pit stop. The strongbox upstairs isn’t even locked, but it still isn’t yours, so check who’s watching before you help yourself – stealing in the town’s seat of power is a bold career move.

The two notes on the dresser are worth reading if you’re curious how Raven Rock is governed and what its leaders are worried about.

Good to know

Veterans of Morrowind may feel a twinge of nostalgia: there’s another Morvayn Manor on Vvardenfell, owned by the same family. The Morvayns clearly like their naming conventions consistent.
