Ice Wolf Pelt comes from the white wolves of the frozen north, which hit a bit harder than their grey cousins. It is worth 15 gold, weighs 1 and tans into 1
Leather, so it is basically a
Wolf Pelt with a better sale price. The Animal Pelt Collection quest accepts it as well.
How to get it
Hunt ice wolves in the snowy holds around Winterhold, Dawnstar and Windhelm. Hunters and Orc hunters carry them, and general goods merchants such as Belethor and Bersi Honey-Hand sell them.
Loose pelts include 2 outdoors near the Reach Imperial Camp and singles in Deepwood Redoubt, Steamcrag Camp, Gallows Rock, Hag’s End and the cellars of Heljarchen Hall and Windstad Manor.
Because one pelt only gives one piece of Leather, ice wolf pelts are usually worth more as sale goods than as crafting stock. Keep the bigger bear and sabre cat pelts for tanning and sell these to the nearest general store instead. If you do need leather, tan them anyway: every single piece helps when a recipe is one short.
