Seren is a Redguard blacksmith living in Dawnstar. She runs the town forge together with her Nord husband, Rustleif, and finds the climate absolutely unbearable.
Where to find them
She works at the forge beside Rustleif’s House, where she and her husband live. Expect to find the two of them side by side at the anvil most of the day.
Services
Like Rustleif, she trades in weapons and armour. If her husband dies, she steps up as the main merchant at the forge, selling weapons, armour and smithing materials.
Personality & relationships
Seren grew up in Hammerfell, where Rustleif came to apprentice under her father. The two married, and she followed him to Skyrim to set up shop. She thinks the land is beautiful but can’t for the life of her understand how anyone tolerates the cold – even a blazing forge isn’t hot enough for her taste.
She recently found out she’s expecting a child and plans to stop working next season. That has her thinking about the future: she floats the idea of moving back to Hammerfell after the baby is born, so their little one isn’t raised in the middle of the Nords’ war. Rustleif doesn’t say no, but asks for time to think. This worry about passing on her heritage is also why Rustleif wants you to find Night Falls on Sentinel for her.
Good to know
Despite the pregnancy, the baby never arrives and she never shows any signs of it. Her name is also the Welsh word for star – quite fitting for someone living in Dawnstar.
