Grogmar gro-Burzag is an Orsimer miner in Shor’s Stone who will happily tell you that he is the best miner in Skyrim – and that he could out-dig you, too. He’s been swinging a pickaxe for as long as he could hold one.
Where to find them
He works in Redbelly Mine during the day. At night he sleeps at Odfel’s House, bunking with fellow miner Odfel until a house of his own gets built.
Quests
Grogmar pays you for iron ore you mine for him. Doing that, or finishing Mine or Yours for Filnjar by clearing the frostbite spiders out of the mine, gets him to spread the word that you are a friend of the Orcs – which opens up the Orc strongholds to you. The spiders are the small variety, so the mine is an easy job even at a low level.
Personality & relationships
Grogmar is all muscle and pride. He is convinced the mine is running dry, which earns him a flat ‘you’re wrong’ from Filnjar. Sharing a house with Odfel is a running sore: Odfel complains that Grogmar’s half is a disaster, Grogmar would rather haul iron than tidy up, and the argument ends in a bet over who can bring up more iron in a day. He has nothing but praise for Sylgja, telling her that her skill with a pickaxe rivals the best miners he has known.
