Chillfurrow Farm is a small wheat farm and mill just outside Whiterun. On paper it belongs to Nazeem and his wife Ahlam, but Nazeem never actually sets foot on the place – the only person you will find here is Wilmuth, who does the work and has nothing much to say to you. It is a quiet stop, but there is a skill book on the dresser that makes it worth popping in.

Grab the skill book early – a free One-Handed level this close to Whiterun is hard to beat. The other books make a decent start for a home library, and the crops and chopping block are an easy way to scrape together a few coins.
Since the owner is never around, you get the farm without any of Nazeem’s company, which many Whiterun visitors would call the best feature of the property.
