How to get it
Defeat Alain Dufont in the ruins of Raldbthar. He stole the hammer from the Shatter-Shields.

Iron Ingot with Arcane Blacksmith, but no Smithing perk helps.
Trivia
- Carry it in Windhelm and guards may recognise it as the Shatter-Shield sigil that was stolen a while back – yet there’s no way to return it.
- An aegis is a shield in Greek myth, so the name means “shield bane” – a pointed jab at Clan Shatter-Shield.
