Eastmarch Imperial Camp is an Imperial Legion field camp tucked in at the foot of the eastern mountains south of Windhelm. Whether it is even there depends on how the Civil War is going. If you’re fighting for the Legion, it’s a useful base with a merchant and a full set of crafting tools. If you’re wearing Stormcloak blue, it’s an excellent place to get stabbed.
What you’ll find
- Imperial soldiers, a quartermaster and Legate Rikke, with Legate Hrollod also listed here.
- A quartermaster you can trade with.
- Crafting stations: anvil, grindstone, workbench and an alchemy lab.
- A tabletop map in the largest tent that can add new locations to your own map.
- A few chests in the tents that you’re free to loot.
- A camp that may or may not exist at all, depending on how far the Civil War has progressed.
Quests
The camp is part of the Imperial side of the Civil War. It’s tied to The Battle for Fort Amol and to the larger Reunification of Skyrim campaign, which ends with the push on Windhelm itself.
Notable items
- Civil War: Map of Skyrim, in the command tent.
Tips
Have a look at the war map before you leave – it may mark new places for you, free of charge. Use the anvil and workbench to tune up your gear before the battles. If you’ve signed up with the Stormcloaks, the soldiers will tell you to leave; take the hint, because if you stay they’ll attack. And don’t panic if the camp isn’t there when you look for it – it simply may not exist yet at your point in the war. When it is up, it’s a handy place to sell loot and restock before marching on the forts nearby.
Good to know
Some players report the music and weather changing suddenly when walking between the commander’s tent and the smithing area. It’s harmless, just a bit dramatic.
