These poisons, sold and looted under the name Aversion to Fire, leave a target far more vulnerable to flames for 30 seconds. On their own they deal no damage; their value lies in setting up whatever fire you bring next, whether that is a Destruction spell, an enchanted weapon or a dragon shout. Fire mages and spellswords who open a fight with a poisoned strike and follow up with flames will see their damage climb sharply.

Where to find them
Look for them with vendors who carry poisons and among loot. They are leveled, so the Malign and Deadly tiers become more common at higher levels.
Brewing your own
The Alchemy skill lets you brew this poison from any two of these ingredients:
Apply the finished poison to your weapon; the next hit that connects passes the weakness to the target.
Tips
- Strike first with the poisoned weapon, then switch to fire within the 30-second window.
- For other elements, see Weakness to Frost and Weakness to Shock poisons.
