Relonikiv is a dragon you meet at the very end of the Dragonborn storyline, high above the Apocrypha summit where Miraak makes his final stand. His name, Rel-Onikiv, combines the dragon words for domination and enlightenment, which fits a realm ruled by forbidden knowledge. For all that, he is less an opponent than a reserve battery: Miraak keeps him around so he can tear out a dragon soul when he needs one.
Where to find him
Relonikiv appears only during At the Summit of Apocrypha, the final quest of the Dragonborn main story. He circles the Summit of Apocrypha alongside the other dragons there while you deal with Miraak and Sahrotaar.
Role in the fight against Miraak
Relonikiv will not engage you. He simply flies around the summit until Miraak absorbs his soul to restore himself. There is a way to fight him anyway: if you stay mounted on Sahrotaar instead of dismounting, you can take Relonikiv on from the air.
Notes
- Once Sahrotaar dies, you can tame Relonikiv with Bend Will and ride him.
- You can have both Kruziikrel and Relonikiv tamed at the same time, as long as the shout has worn off one of them first.
- Kruziikrel is another dragon you can bend to your will at the summit, so you are not short of mounts in this final battle.
- If you do kill Relonikiv yourself, his remains yield the usual Dragon Bones and Dragon Scales.
- His level ranges from 10 to 50, giving him between about 900 and 3,000 health, with 150 magicka.
