Ugor is an Orc of Largashbur and very likely the first resident to tell you to get lost. She takes her guard duty seriously, even if she privately admits she isn’t all that sure of herself as a warrior. Help her tribe with its curse, though, and she turns into a handy ranged companion.
Where to find them
When you first reach the stronghold, Ugor is usually outside helping three male Orcs and the mage Atub fend off an attacking giant. If she survives, she heads back inside and keeps watch over the gate from a battlement near the entrance.
Quests
Ugor appears at the start of The Cursed Tribe. As you walk up she orders you to leave, insisting that Chief Yamarz told her to keep strangers out. Atub argues back that you may be exactly the help the tribe needs, and Ugor grudgingly lets it go, making it clear that any consequences are on Atub’s head.
Follower & marriage
After The Cursed Tribe is finished, Ugor can be recruited as a follower. Her best skills are Archery, One-Handed, Light Armor and Block, so she works nicely as a bow-first fighter who can switch to a blade when things get close. She comes in a full set of steel gear, but that doesn’t make her giant-proof: the giants that raid the stronghold can still flatten her. She can also be recruited into the Blades.
Personality & relationships
Ugor is generally level-headed rather than hot-tempered, and her hostility at the gate comes from loyalty to Yamarz rather than spite. She is one of three Largashbur Orcs who can follow you, along with Lob and Ogol.
Good to know
Save before you approach Largashbur. Ugor can die very quickly in the opening giant fight, or may even be dead when you arrive. If she is, think twice before helping yourself to her equipment, as looting it can turn the Orcs against you and land you a bounty.
