Ogol is an Orc who lives inside the walls of Largashbur, a stronghold that is having a very bad time when you first show up. Giants keep battering the gates, the chief is cursed, and Ogol is one of the warriors trying to hold the line. Help the tribe out and he is happy to tag along on your adventures afterwards.
Where to find them
He stays at Largashbur, inside the stronghold walls. Be warned that the giants attacking the place can kill him, both before and after the tribe’s troubles are sorted out, so don’t dawdle if you want him alive.
Quests
Ogol is one of the Orcs you meet during The Cursed Tribe, the Daedric quest centred on Chief Yamarz and the wise woman Atub. He doesn’t hand out tasks himself, but finishing that quest is what unlocks him as a companion.
Follower & marriage
Once The Cursed Tribe is complete, you can ask Ogol to join you. He is a solid front-line fighter: his strongest skills are Heavy Armor and One-Handed, and he reaches for one-handed weapons when he has the choice. His health, stamina and magicka match those of Borgakh the Steel Heart, so think of him as a sturdy, no-nonsense tank. He arrives poorly kitted out, with just a steel war axe, plain clothes and boots, so hand him some proper armour before you go dungeon diving.
With Hearthfire installed he can also be made steward of one of your homes (Hearthfire), and he is one of the characters who can be recruited into the Blades.
Personality & relationships
Ogol belongs to the same tribe as fellow followers Lob and Ugor, and all three become available once Largashbur’s curse is dealt with. His mood when you arrive is pretty grim, which is fair enough when giants are knocking on your front door every other day.
Good to know
If you plan to recruit him, it is worth saving before you approach the stronghold, since the giant fight can easily cost the tribe a warrior or two.
