Lash gra-Dushnikh is an Orc miner living in Karthwasten. Her surname gives away her origins: she grew up in the Orc stronghold of Dushnikh Yal before choosing to leave it. Her mother is the stronghold’s Forge-Wife, Gharol, and her father is Chief Burguk.
Where to find them
She works the mines of Karthwasten and bunks in the miners’ barracks, much to Belchimac‘s dismay. She hunts in her spare time, too.
Quests
Gharol’s Message – Gharol asks you to bring Lash a sword. Lash gets the meaning at once: it’s her mother’s way of saying don’t come back. She still thanks you and pays you a leveled reward for honoring her mother’s task, then asks to be left alone.
Personality & relationships
Lash keeps to herself and finds the locals far too nosy. She’s sharp-tongued and not someone to cross: when Belchimac complains about sharing the barracks with an Orc or suggests Orcs aren’t smart enough for politics, she casually mentions fights, lost arms and lonely mine tunnels until he hastily takes it all back.
She clearly has a soft spot for Ragnar. She compliments his strong arms, invites him hunting (he politely cites work) and asks what he thinks of Orcs – then gets annoyed when he answers about her instead. Her highest compliment: Ragnar would make a good Orc.
Like the other miners she’s waiting on Ainethach to get rid of the Silver-Blood men so work can resume.
Good to know
- If she dies in a vampire or dragon attack, you may receive a letter of inheritance from the Jarl (Dawnguard).
