Belchimac is a Breton miner living in Karthwasten. He works in Sanuarach Mine and sleeps in the Karthwasten Miner’s Barracks, which he shares, unhappily, with an Orc.
Where to find them
Inside Sanuarach Mine during work hours, or at the miners’ barracks.
Personality & relationships
Belchimac is the town’s resident pessimist. While the mine is closed, he moans that the good mine is shut and the other one has no ore, as if the gods had singled him out. Once it reopens, he complains about the workload instead. He tells Enmon that the Silver-Blood men will never leave, and is sure everyone will end up as slaves in Cidhna Mine. Enmon reminds him that only criminals go there; Belchimac is convinced his luck will find a way.
He also has a habit of mouthing off and then instantly regretting it. He grumbles about Nords in front of Ragnar and backs down fast when Ragnar threatens him. He hints that he might join the Forsworn, and Ragnar warns him he wouldn’t survive a day. And his attempts to insult Lash gra-Dushnikh end with him hurriedly praising Orcs, or calling himself the dumb one, once she reminds him how lonely the mine tunnels can be.
Good to know
- He mostly just asks whether you want something when you talk to him.
- If Atar dies in the mine and Belchimac finds the body, he reacts in shock for a moment, then goes back to his routine.
