Sacred Witness

A Sneak skill book: a poet's account of meeting the Night Mother – and what it cost him.

Sacred Witness: A True History of the Night Mother is written by a poet from Sentinel who claims to have met the head of the Dark Brotherhood in person. He describes how he came to meet her and what she told him. A short note at the end explains who the author really was – and how he was found dead soon after the book came out.

Skill book

Sacred Witness is a Sneak skill book. The first time you read a copy, your Sneak skill goes up by one point – later copies of the same title don’t give anything extra, so there is no need to carry them around.

Notes

It pairs naturally with Fire and Darkness, the history of Tamriel’s assassin guilds that the poet mentions.
