Light Armor Forging

A Smithing skill book: Revus Sarvani’s guide to leather, Elven and Glass armor.

Light Armor Forging splits light armor into two families: the non-metallic hide, leather, studded and scaled sets, where the smith is “as much tailor as blacksmith”, and the metallic Elven and Glass sets. Revus Sarvani explains which ingots and gems each one needs, and tells how a Dark Elf slave named Ulvul Llaren carried the secret of Elven armor out of Summerset.

Skill book

Light Armor Forging is a Smithing skill book. The first time you read a copy, your Smithing skill goes up by one point – later copies of the same title don’t give anything extra, so there is no need to carry them around.

Notes

Embershard Mine is often the very first dungeon players clear, so this is one of the earliest skill books you can find. Its partner volume is Heavy Armor Forging.

Riverwood is the small lumber village where most Skyrim adventures really begin – blacksmith, inn, trader and the road up to Bleak Falls Barrow.
