Aventus Aretino is a Nord boy who ran away from Honorhall Orphanage in Riften and returned to his late parents’ house in Windhelm. There, alone, he’s performing the Black Sacrament – praying for the Dark Brotherhood to come and kill the orphanage’s cruel matron, Grelod the Kind.
Innocence Lost
Rumours in Windhelm about the Aretino boy lead you to his locked house. Get inside and he mistakes you for a Dark Brotherhood assassin. Take the job, kill Grelod in Innocence Lost and he rewards you with the Aretino Family Heirloom. Soon after, the real Brotherhood comes knocking (With Friends Like These…).
Good to know
- Essential, like all children.
