The Glass Dagger is the glass-tier entry in Skyrim’s dagger lineup. It hits for 9 base damage, weighs only 4.5 and swings at the fast 1.3 speed every dagger enjoys, which makes it a comfortable upgrade for anyone who has outgrown elven steel but is not yet swimming in ebony.
Glass sits high in the material ladder: crafting it needs Smithing 70 and the Glass Smithing perk, and the world only starts handing these out once you reach the higher levels. It pairs naturally with Glass Armor for a matching light-armor look, and it is a favourite of stealthy builds that want a sharp blade without the weight.

Tips and notes
- Improve it at a grindstone with
Refined Malachite; the Glass Smithing perk doubles the improvement. - The crafting recipe is cheap for a high-tier weapon – a single malachite, a single
Refined Moonstone and one
Leather Strips – so it is a decent way to grind Smithing once the perk is unlocked. - Want more reach? The Glass Sword and Glass War Axe share the same material.
