Response to Bero’s Speech is a rebuttal by Malviser, a battlemage, to a lecture by the illusionist Berevar Bero, who claimed great battlemages relied on other schools rather than Destruction. Malviser picks apart Bero’s history – including claims about Zurin Arctus and the Numidium – and ends with a jab: of course an illusionist would attack Destruction, since Illusion is all about masking the truth.
