Sharpslope Cave is an unmarked cavern inside the Forgotten Vale in the Druadach Mountains (Dawnguard). It is a short side trip off the main path through the Vale, worth a detour if you like mining or simply want to thin out the local Falmer population a bit more.
What you’ll find
- A long spiral walkway winding down into the main cave.
- Falmer, Chaurus and Chaurus Hunters living among Falmer huts.
- A hidden room near the top of the spiral, reached through a crevice under three large mushrooms, home to a Shellbug.
- A chest with random loot.
- A few orichalcum ore veins near the exit, plus Chaurus Hunter Fledgling pods to the right.
- An exit that lets you out by the riverbank below the entrance.
Tips
From the Wayshrine of Resolution, cross the rock overpass to the north, follow the path left down the cliff, turn right toward the Falmer huts, go through the closed gate and climb the next path. Just before the top, cross another rock overpass to the left; the entrance is on that path. Expect Falmer along the way. Check under the three big mushrooms at the top of the spiral, because the hidden Shellbug room is easy to walk straight past. Bring a pickaxe for the orichalcum, and keep an eye on those fledgling pods so they do not hatch on you mid-swing.
