Sadri’s Used Wares

Pawnshop in Windhelm’s Gray Quarter run by Revyn Sadri, who swears nothing is stolen, buying and selling apparel, books, potions and more.

Sadri’s Used Wares is a pawnbroker’s shop in the Gray Quarter of Windhelm. The owner, the Dunmer Revyn Sadri, will tell anyone who listens that none of his goods are stolen – which, naturally, makes everyone wonder. The guards even recommend it as the place to dump unwanted gear. It opens around 8 in the morning.

What you’ll find

  • Revyn himself – buys and sells apparel, books, potions and assorted other items.
  • A Speech skill book on the counter.
  • After you help him, Revyn also offers Speech training.
  • An investment option for your gold, although it reportedly doesn’t always appear.

Quests

That Was Always There – Revyn wants a ring he thinks was stolen returned to Viola Giordano by sneaking into her house. If you hand it back to her openly instead, she threatens to have the Jarl raise his taxes. Revyn will be annoyed, but he still trades with you.

Notable items

  • 2920, Second Seed, v5 (Speech skill book) – it sits on the counter, so you can read it for the skill bump without buying or stealing it.
  • The Wolf Queen, Book II.
  • On an extremely rare occasion, a unique circlet called Revyn Sadri’s Copper and Onyx Circlet shows up for sale.

Tips

Read the Speech book on the counter for free – a skill increase at zero cost is the best deal in the shop. If you marry Revyn and move in here, most of the furniture is safe for storage: the wardrobe, dresser and the sack lying in front of the ledger in the living area, plus the wardrobe, two end tables and strongbox in the unused storage area. Avoid the sack leaning against the wall, which wipes its contents. The strongbox has to be picked once, but its contents don’t count as stolen. The bed is too small for two, but you still get Lover’s Comfort, and Revyn usually stops by the New Gnisis Cornerclub before heading home each night.
