Venison Stew

A slow-acting stew of venison, potato and leek that restores Stamina at once, then regenerates Health and Stamina for twelve minutes.

Venison Stew is a hunter’s meal: deer meat simmered with potato and leek and seasoned with salt. It weighs 0.5 and is worth 8 gold, and it is one of the cooked dishes whose real strength is a long-lasting effect rather than an instant heal.

Effects

  • Restores 15 Stamina
  • Restores 1 Health per second for 720 seconds
  • Restores 1 Stamina per second for 720 seconds

720 seconds is twelve minutes, the longest duration cooked food offers. One point per second does not sound like much, but over a dungeon crawl it adds up and means you open the menu to heal far less often.

How to make it

Good to know

If you only have venison and salt, a Venison Chop is the quick alternative. For a meat-free version of the same twelve-minute regeneration, see Vegetable Soup.
