Lord Tusk

Lord Tusk is a giant, unique horker ruling Horker Island off Solstheim, twice the size of a normal horker and surrounded by the skulls of his meals.

Every herd needs a leader, and on a lonely rock off the coast of Solstheim that leader is Lord Tusk. Introduced in the Dragonborn add-on, he is a unique horker twice the size of an ordinary one – 22 levels higher, with 270 more health and 95 more stamina. He fights in the same way and at the same pace as his smaller kin, he just hits harder.

The bloodied skulls scattered around his resting place hint at a darker diet. He even carries four skulls of his own, which rather settles the question.

Lord Tusk vs. a normal horker

Horker Lord Tusk
Level 3 25
Health 175 445
Stamina 180 275
Size Normal Twice as large

In other words, he has well over twice the health of the animals around him and noticeably more staying power, which turns a routine horker hunt into a proper fight.

Notes

  • If Lord Tusk becomes hostile, the other horkers on the island loyally join the fight, so attacking him means taking on the whole herd.
  • He is mentioned briefly in Saden’s Journal.
  • His drops are a horker’s usual meat and tusk plus four skulls.

Abilities & attacks

  • Tusk and body attacks like a normal horker, but with more damage
  • The rest of the herd on Horker Island joins in if he turns hostile

How to beat it

Archers and mages can soften Lord Tusk up from a distance before he closes in. Expect the herd to follow him: thin out the regular horkers first, or pick a spot where they can only reach you one at a time. His attacks are the same as a normal horker’s, so the same dodging works – just with less room for mistakes.
