Sissel is a young Nord girl living in Rorikstead. She and her twin sister Britte spend their days wandering around the village, though the two are anything but close. Sissel is the quiet, dreamy one, and life has not been kind to her.

Look for her roaming the streets and farms of Rorikstead, usually not far from her sister.
Personality & relationships
Sissel lost her mother when she was small, and her father Lemkil treats her harshly, calling her useless and grumbling that his children never help with the farm. Britte bosses her around too, and Sissel admits that she tries to keep away from both of them. She has no friends her own age.
Her one bright spot is Jouane Manette, who is quietly teaching her magic and says she has real talent. Their lessons are a secret, and you can overhear her begging for fire spells while Jouane nervously shushes her and offers to teach her how to put candles out instead. Another lesson covers Waterbreathing, which Sissel immediately imagines using to swim away from her family. She also dreams of a kind, grey old dragon, very likely a nod to Paarthurnax.
Good to know
Kill Jouane and Sissel will tell you, in no uncertain terms, that she will hate you forever. If Lemkil dies, she and Britte eventually turn up at Honorhall Orphanage, and Sissel can then be adopted (Hearthfire).
