Lemkil is a Nord farmer in Rorikstead and the father of twin girls, Sissel and Britte. His wife died giving birth to them, and he has never let the girls forget it. By their own account he is harsh and neglectful, and the rest of the village has noticed.
Where to find them
Working his farm, or at the Frostfruit Inn complaining about his daughters to anyone within earshot.
Services
He buys potatoes, leeks, cabbages, gourds and wheat, so he is a handy place to offload produce.
Personality & relationships
Lemkil is a deeply unpleasant man. To him, his daughters are lazy, useless and nothing but trouble, and he advises you never to have children. The neighbours push back: Erik warns him he’ll end up with two daughters who hate him, Mralki calls him the coldest man in Skyrim, and even a friendly remark from Rorik about the girls growing up only earns a sour comparison to weeds. When Jouane Manette kindly offers to buy the girls new dresses, Lemkil snaps that they don’t need charity from a Breton.
Good to know
- He can come up as a target in a Companions radiant job.
- Kill him and Sissel may write to thank you – she promises not to tell anyone. The girls then go to Honorhall Orphanage and can be adopted (Hearthfire).
- If Jouane is killed, Lemkil sends you a letter asking for help. The job behind it is broken: he pays you 50 gold, but it never completes.
- Rearrange the letters of his name and you get “killme”. Make of that what you will.
