Rogatus Salvius is an elderly Imperial farmer who lives with his wife, Vigdis Salvius, at Salvius Farm just outside Markarth. He has worked the same patch of land for more than fifty years and has no plans to budge, whatever the Reach throws at him.

Rogatus can be found at Salvius Farm, where he has spent his whole life on the outskirts of Markarth.
Quests
In Rogatus’s Letter, he asks you to deliver a personal letter to his son Leontius Salvius, who lives in Old Hroldan. Talking to him reveals just how strained things are between father and son.
Personality & relationships
Rogatus is the classic grumpy old farmer. He is hurt that Leontius rarely visits and has pulled away from the family, though that does not stop him calling the lad a drunk. He complains that soldiers keep trampling his crops, brags that he has farmed through an actual battle, and lists everything he has survived over the years – Forsworn, undead, witches, hagravens and, apparently worst of all, marriage. He also gloomily predicts that a blight and walking dead are just around the corner.
Good to know
Killing him has consequences: hired thugs will eventually be sent after you.
