Borvir was a Nord apprentice at the College of Winterhold. He is one of four students who went missing from the College, and you will only ever meet him as a corpse.
Where to find them
His body lies at Journeyman’s Nook, next to a bandit and a named dagger. The game never spells out what happened, but the bandit lying there is the obvious suspect.
Quests
Borvir belongs to the unfinished quest The Missing Apprentices. Phinis Gestor mentions him and his brother among the vanished students and remembers the two were trying to find a way to chill mead with magic. Because the quest was never completed, nothing actually sends you to his body – you have to stumble on it yourself.
Personality & relationships
There isn’t much to go on beyond that mead project, which honestly tells you plenty. His brother, as Phinis tells it, shared the ambition; Rundi, another missing apprentice from the same story, died experimenting with frost magic not far away.
