Rahgot

Rahgot, which means “Anger” in the dragon tongue, is a heavy dragon priest mask with an armor rating of 23. Its enchantment is simple and effective: it increases your stamina by 70 points. More stamina means more power attacks, longer sprints and more time holding your breath behind a drawn bow.

How to get it

Rahgot lies in Forelhost, a dragon cult fortress in the mountains of the Rift. The mask is tied to the quest “Siege on the Dragon Cult”. In the courtyard you meet Captain Valmir, who has set up camp and asks you to retrieve the priest’s mask from the tomb. He may also ask you to look for Skorm Snow-Strider’s journal, which can help you get past a collapsed section. Work through the draugr-filled tomb, beat Rahgot, and take the mask. What happens with Valmir afterwards is worth paying attention to, because not everything about him is as it seems.

Is it worth wearing?

For warriors, yes. Seventy stamina is a big boost early and still useful late, especially for heavy armor builds that burn stamina on power attacks and blocking. Stealth archers also benefit, since zooming in with the bow drains stamina. Redguards get extra mileage, combining it with their faster stamina regeneration. Compared with Nahkriin or Morokei it is the warrior counterpart to those mage masks. It is tempered with an Orichalcum Ingot, the same metal used for orcish armor. If you craft your own helmets, a custom enchant may match it, but as a free find it is great, and it carries you nicely through the mid-game.

Good to know

• One of the eight masks needed at the Bromjunaar shrine in Labyrinthian to unlock Konahrik.
• Masks given to followers can vanish from their inventory over time.
