The Pursuit: bring Karliah back to the Thieves Guild, break into Mercer Frey's Riftweald Manor and find out where he has gone.

In The Pursuit, Karliah returns to the Ragged Flagon with you to convince the guild of the truth. Brynjolf is shaken – and the guild vault is found empty.

Walkthrough

Break into Riftweald Manor, Mercer‘s house in Riften. Vex can tell you about the guard Vald, and you can shoot a mechanism to lower a ramp for a quieter way in. Inside, search for evidence of where Mercer has gone, then report to Brynjolf.
