General Tullius’ Armor is the unique cuirass worn by General Tullius, the Imperial Legion commander and military governor of Skyrim. It has 31 base armor rating, weighs 18 and has no enchantment. It looks like a polished, officer-grade take on the Imperial armor – very shiny, very Cyrodiilic, very “I give the orders here”.
How to get it
Tullius is the only person who wears it. You first see him at Helgen, and afterwards he runs the war from Castle Dour in Solitude. He cannot be killed while the Civil War is still undecided, so the realistic way to get the armor is to side with Ulfric Stormcloak:
- Join the Stormcloaks and play through the Civil War.
- In Battle for Solitude, fight through the city into Castle Dour.
- Tullius dies whichever option you pick at the end – loot his body for the armor.
Is it worth wearing?
Mostly for looks. Thirty-one armor rating is decent mid-game heavy protection, around steel level, but there is no enchantment and heavier, better sets are easy to find by the time the Civil War ends. It can be tempered with a
Steel Ingot, which helps it keep up a little. If you want a role-play outfit for a victorious rebel showing off a trophy – or an Imperial officer look – it is hard to beat.
Good to know
- It covers the body slot only; there is no matching helmet or gauntlets.
- The game lists it as “heavy clothing” for the chest slot.
- The undead General Falx Carius on Solstheim wears a look-alike version, General Carius’ Armor.
