General Carius’ Armor is the unique cuirass worn by General Falx Carius at Fort Frostmoth on Solstheim (Dragonborn). It has the chest cut of General Tullius’ Armor but the darker colours of the Penitus Oculatus Armor, plus a brace holding the
Heart Stone embedded in his chest. The game data gives it 31 armor rating and a weight of 18, with no enchantment.
How to get it
According to the game files, its only owner is General Falx Carius himself. You meet him at Fort Frostmoth during the Dragonborn quest March of the Dead, where he is the antagonist. Note that the fan wiki sources describe his armor, gauntlets, boots and helmet as unobtainable – so do not expect to strip the old general and wear his kit. Treat this page as a look at the gear rather than a shopping guide.
Is it worth wearing?
Since you cannot normally take it, the question is mostly academic. On paper it mirrors General Tullius’ Armor in rating and weight, which puts it in the middle of the pack for heavy chest pieces and well behind anything like Daedric once you start tempering. Its value is visual and narrative: a reminder of the old Imperial garrison on Solstheim and a nod back to Bloodmoon.
Good to know
- Carius has no pupils and a Heart Stone in his chest – the armor’s brace is built around it.
- The game classes the piece as “heavy clothing” rather than a standard armor set piece.
- Carius believes no time has passed since his days as garrison commander.
