Thorek is a Nord priest in the Cult of Vaermina, the Daedric Prince of dreams and nightmares. He’s one of the last cultists still standing in Nightcaller Temple, the temple at the heart of the bad dreams that plague Dawnstar.
Where to find them
Thorek is deep in Nightcaller Temple, standing guard near the Skull of Corruption beside his fellow priest Veren Duleri.
Quests
You meet Thorek during Waking Nightmare, while helping Erandur push through the temple to destroy the Skull. Erandur used to be one of the temple’s priests, and Thorek and Veren recognise him at once. They call him a traitor, and the meeting turns into a fight. Depending on how the battle goes, either you or Erandur finishes Thorek off.
Personality & relationships
Thorek is loyal to his order to the bitter end. Long ago, when Orcs broke into the inner sanctum, he warned Veren that hardly any of the faithful were left. When Veren decided to release the Miasma, a sleep-inducing mist meant to protect the Skull, Thorek hesitated for a moment and then swore to guard the Skull with his life.
Good to know
Erandur says the Miasma drives sleepers mad, yet Thorek shows none of the crazed behaviour seen in the other cultists and Orc invaders inside the temple.
