Aeri is a Nord lumberjack and the owner of Anga’s Mill, a small lumber settlement by the Yorgrim River. She runs the place with two workers, Kodrir and Leifur, which mostly means she does the planning while they do the bickering.
The mill came to her after her father died in the Great War against the Aldmeri Dominion. Sadly, the inheritance arrived together with a pile of unpaid taxes, so Aeri took over with empty pockets and has been working ever since to clear his debts.
Where to find them
At Anga’s Mill, where she lives and works. Expect to find her around the saw and the lumber piles rather than relaxing anywhere.
Quests
Delivery – The first time you talk to her she mistakes you for one of the Jarl’s men, sent by Skald the Elder to chase a late lumber order. Once the mix-up is cleared, she asks you to carry Aeri’s Note to the Jarl in Dawnstar and assure him the wood is on its way. You can accept or turn her down.
Chopping wood – Ask her for work and she will tell you that anyone with an axe can earn gold here. Chop firewood at the mill’s woodcutting block and sell all of it to her.
Services
She buys firewood, piece by piece. With Hearthfire installed she also sells sawn logs, which you need for building your own homestead (Hearthfire).
Follower & marriage
Aeri can’t be recruited as a follower, but she is a marriage candidate. Do her a favour first – deliver her note or sell her some firewood – and then talk to her while wearing an Amulet of Mara to bring up the subject.
Personality & relationships
Aeri is practical, busy and a little worn down. Her small talk is a running list of problems: not enough lumber, a blunt saw, another order to fill. She has a clear idea of the ideal worker too – someone quiet, honest and diligent, which may be a pointed remark about Kodrir, who spends a lot of time grumbling that she doesn’t appreciate him. She is proud that the mill pays what it owes, even to an impatient Jarl.
