The Woodsman’s Friend is an iron battleaxe found by a dead woodcutter near Lake Ilinalta – a little scene of misfortune with a souvenir attached.
How to find it
- Go to Pinewatch in Falkreath Hold.
- Follow the path north through the pass towards the lake.
- Find the first set of felled trees just to the right of the trail.
- Walk along the felled trees to the living tree on the left, closest to the rocks.
- The axe lies half-hidden in the grass at the base of the tree.
It’s just southwest of the Conjurer’s Altar, on the southeastern side of Lake Ilinalta.
Stats
17 damage, 20 weight. It hits a little harder than a normal iron battleaxe but swings slower, so it actually deals less damage over time. It can’t be improved.
Trivia
Despite the name, you can’t use it to chop firewood.
