Guldun Rock is a giant camp east of Whiterun, directly south of Valtheim Towers near the base of the Throat of the World. A path branches off the road that runs along the White River and climbs up to the camp. Two giants live here, and they do not appreciate visitors poking around their cheese.
What you’ll find
- Two giants and the usual giant camp setup, including eight sacks of Mammoth Cheese Bowl.
- Guldun Rock Cave, directly across from the platform. It is usually empty, but tribal markings on its walls and boulders show it belongs to the camp.
- Five human skulls and a troll skull just outside the cave. What the giants wanted them for is anyone’s guess.

Kill the Giant – the local Jarl may put a bounty on one of the giants here.

Tips
Two giants at once is a serious fight for a low-level character – a single club swing can send you on an unscheduled flight. Use the high ground and ranged attacks, keep moving, and don’t let both of them corner you on the platform.
If you just want the skill book, you may be able to sneak past to the cave, since it sits right across from the platform – though tiptoeing past two giants with a book under your arm is a gamble, so don’t get greedy with the cheese.
