Large Decorative Dwemer Strut

An ornate Dwemer beam found in Dwarven ruins, smelted into Dwarven Metal Ingots for Dwarven weapons and armor.

Large Decorative Dwemer Strut is the fancy version of a Dwarven support beam: same chunky metal, extra ornament. It weighs 15 and is worth only 10 gold, which makes it the least valuable piece of Dwemer scrap, but at a smelter it becomes a Dwarven Metal Ingot just like the rest. Those ingots feed Dwarven Armor and Dwarven weapons with the Dwarven Smithing perk.

How to get it

It is found lying around Dwemer ruins. The Nchuand-Zel ruins under Markarth have 9 in the Quarters and 3 in the Armory, and the Dwemer Museum in Calcelmo’s tower has 3. Mzulft is the other big source, with 7 in the Boilery, 6 in the main ruin and 5 in the Aedrome.

Alftand has 4 in its ruined tower and 3 in the Animonculory. On Solstheim (Dragonborn), the Dwemer ruin Kagrumez has 6, and Reachwind Eyrie has 3. Falmer sometimes carry one as well. Given the weight, smelt it as soon as possible, or leave it behind if your pockets are already full of lighter scrap that turns into the same ingot.
