Cabbage Soup

A plain two-ingredient soup of cabbage and salt that restores a little Health and Stamina; cooking it requires the Dragonborn add-on.

Cabbage Soup is about as basic as Skyrim cooking gets: one head of cabbage and a pinch of salt simmered in a pot. It is a filling, cheap meal for anyone living off the land, and one of the easiest dishes to put together.

Effects

  • Restores 10 Health
  • Restores 8 Stamina

Both values are restored at once, with no lasting effect afterwards. That is modest, but typical for everyday food, which as a rule heals less than a minor potion.

How to make it

Use any cooking pot or spit. The recipe takes:

The soup itself is part of the base game, but the recipe to make it is added by the Dragonborn add-on (Dragonborn). Without it you can still find and eat the soup, just not cook it.

Where to find it

Beyond cooking it yourself, the sources used here do not list particular spots or sellers.

Good to know

If you have more vegetables to spare, cabbage also goes into Cabbage Potato Soup, Apple Cabbage Stew and Vegetable Soup, all of which restore more or last longer. Hearthfire gives Cabbage Soup a new texture.

Where to find it

  • Cooked at any cooking pot (recipe requires Dragonborn)
