The Wood Cutter is a Breton lumberjack you’ll only ever meet as a corpse. He lies in the wilderness just west of the Lakeview Manor building site and south of Lake Ilinalta, surrounded by the trees he had been felling.
Where to find them
Look west of the Lakeview Manor plot (Hearthfire). The Conjurer’s Altar lies a short way to the northeast. Close by is a tree stump with a tipped-over tankard on it and a crowd of ants enjoying the spill – a neat bit of environmental storytelling.
Personality & relationships
We know nothing about him beyond his trade and his fate. What actually killed him is never explained, though the nearby altar makes for a suspicious neighbour.
Good to know
The real reason to visit is his axe, The Woodsman’s Friend, a unique Iron Battleaxe lying beside his body. If Hearthfire is installed, the corpse and the axe sometimes fail to appear.
