Rhorlak is a Nord who lives at Pinewatch and claims to be a humble, hard-up woodcutter. In reality he’s a bandit, and his little house sits on top of a hidden hideout. He only shows up once you’ve started the quest Silver Lining.
Where to find them
At his house at Pinewatch, but only while Silver Lining is active.
Quests
In Silver Lining, Endon of Markarth wants his stolen silver mold back, and the trail leads to Rhorlak. Mention Endon’s mold and he insists you’ve got the wrong place – then trips himself up by saying it’s a silver mold before you ever did. From there you have options:
- Threaten him and he attacks.
- Get him to talk (the wiki describes this as a bribe). He’ll recall a strange button on the wall opposite the fireplace, then announce a long vacation from woodcutting.
- Ignore him and walk into Pinewatch Bandit’s Sanctuary, and he turns hostile.
Personality & relationships
A terrible liar with a fake job and a real secret. Play along and say you must have the wrong place, and he wishes Endon luck in finding what he’s looking for, all innocence.
Good to know
Despite his vacation plans, a Rhorlak who is talked round and left alive may just keep living at Pinewatch. He has nothing more to say afterwards.
