Advances in Lockpicking

A Lockpicking skill book: short, badly written tips from a self-confessed good thief.

Advances in Lock Picking is a very short book by an anonymous thief who admits right away that he’s a better thief than writer. His tips: carry bent picks for angled keyholes, beware of copper picks, and heat the lock with a torch to even out the springs. The closing advice for thieves who can’t read is the best part.

Skill book

Advances in Lockpicking is a Lockpicking skill book. The first time you read a copy, your Lockpicking skill goes up by one point – later copies of the same title don’t give anything extra, so there is no need to carry them around.
