The Enhanced Crossbow is the Dawnguard‘s upgrade to the standard crossbow in the Dawnguard add-on: same look, same damage – but it punches through half of the target’s armor.
How to get it
After the first part of the Dawnguard quest series “Ancient Technology”, Sorine Jurard sells it at Fort Dawnguard – and can teach you to make it yourself.
Crafting
Needs Steel Smithing and the schematic, and can only be made at the forge in Fort Dawnguard:
- 1 Crossbow
- 2 Corundum Ingots
Fun fact: it’s the only weapon in the game made with Corundum Ingots.
Effect
Attacks ignore 50% of armor.
Stats
19 damage, 15 weight. Steel Ingot at a grindstone; benefits from Steel Smithing.
Its big brother is the Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow.
