Mossy Glen Cave (Dawnguard) is a modest cave tucked into the hills around Fort Dawnguard. It works as a little shortcut with two entrances, and it is a handy place to grab some pelts and a few chests’ worth of random loot while you are visiting the vampire hunters.
What you’ll find
- One entrance in Dayspring Canyon, behind the trees where the Dawnguard chop their firewood.
- A second entrance to the left of Fort Dawnguard’s first tower, if you approach from the side near Stendarr’s Beacon.
- A main room occupied by four bears and/or cave bears – plus one skeever who has made some questionable roommate choices.
- Three chests filled with random loot.
Tips
Four bears in one room is a lot of fur and claws at once, so do not just stroll in at low level. Draw them back toward the entrance one at a time, or bring a friend from the fort. The payoff is a stack of bear pelts, cave bear pelts and bear claws to go with whatever the chests cough up.
