Varona Nelas is a Dunmer and the steward of Tel Mithryn, the giant mushroom tower of the Telvanni wizard Neloth on Solstheim (Dragonborn). She is not one of his apprentices; her job is the everyday running of the household, keeping supplies stocked and the staff organised.
Where to find them
You usually meet her outside Tel Mithryn, perhaps bickering with Neloth’s apprentice Talvas Fathryon while he tries, and fails, to summon an Ash Guardian. She is happy to explain who is who: Talvas sells spells, Elynea is the resident alchemist with a passion for fungi, and Ulves runs the kitchen.
Quests
In Reluctant Steward she sets off for Raven Rock to buy supplies and is killed by ash spawn on the way. Her body turns up on the outskirts of Tel Mithryn, off toward the trees.
Personality & relationships
Varona is practical and a little weary. She complains that the ash gets into everything, frets about low kitchen stores, hopes the dragons on the mainland stay there, and wonders if Elynea has anything for headaches. Talvas’s reckless experiments clearly test her patience.
