Chief Mauhulakh is the Orc chief of Narzulbur. He won the title the Orc way, by killing his father in single combat when the old chief grew too weak to lead, and he fully expects a son of his to do the same to him one day. Until then, he alone in the stronghold may take wives and father children.

Within Narzulbur, which sits on Gloombound Mine, a mine rich in ebony that he is proud to sell from.

Ask him about work and he offers a brawl: your fists against his, with 100 gold to the winner. Beat him and he admits it was impressive.
Personality & relationships
Mauhulakh is proud of his stronghold and happy to explain Orc customs. The Code of Malacath is unwritten law there: steal or attack anyone inside, and you pay a blood price in gold or blood. He names the other great strongholds as Dushnikh Yal, Mor Khazgur and Largashbur.
His personal life is a mess. He has married many times, and every wife has died; the loss of one of them, Galka, still hangs over the household. He believes the gods have cursed him and keeps asking Bolar whether the spirits will send him a wife who survives. What he doesn’t see is how closely Bolar and Yatul watch over him; overheard conversations suggest they have their own reasons to keep him single.
His children see more clearly. His son Dushnamub finds the aunts’ behaviour strange, and his daughter Urog blames him for having no mother and complains that she and Yatul do the hunting while the miners do the digging. Dushnamub also warns him about the brothers Gadba and Mul gro-Largash, but Mauhulakh dismisses them as harmless miners.
